It's Friday & time for another giveaway...

Don't you just LOVE Friday's even more now?!

So, what's up for grabs this week?? It's from us here at Keller's...brand-spankin' new...CLASSIC CHIPBOARD BOOKS! 4 of them, in fact.

Classic, huh? What are Classic Chipboard Books? Well, they are 4 classic shapes that we feel will be the perfect addition to all of our other Mix & Match pieces like Rings & Stackers, etc. Our 4 Classic Shapes are:
Classic Circle
Classic Heart
Classic Scroll
Classic Tag

All are @6" in size...and we'll have them in Chipboard Books, Solid Cardstock packs, and Print packs. (pictures to follow on here & our site later Fri or early Sat)

So, 4 books to one lucky winner this week...and what do we want to hear about this week?? Well, it's nothing to do with scrapbooking -- unless someone out there DID scrapbook this & wants to admit that they did & share it with us?!? So, what am I talking about? What do I want to know about this week??

Well, let me start by asking who has seen the picture of Siesta on our Facebook page? She's our new baby...a tri color Cocker Spaniel who makes my heart melt every time I look at her! Several days ago, I ventured out at 6:30 am in the cold to take Siesta out to potty. We are kennel -training her, so it's a mad dash outside when she comes out of the kennel after all night, let me tell you. Now I know that I really should move a little slower at times...not as graceful as I used to be...I ran out the back door with her...discovered it was raining ever so lightly...just enough to make our 'need to be pressure-washed deck' slick as ice. You can guess, right? DOWN I WENT! Down 4 steps. In the rain. In the cold. I screamed as I went...only Siesta heard & came to lick my face all over. In a brief moment, I realized even if I had broken my back or my hip that I must get to the door to call for Keller....I could NOT be found dead on my back deck in just my nightshirt & panties!!! So, I did manage to pull myself up & to the door...hollered & Keller came to my rescue. He was sweet for about 2 minutes...when he realized there was no blood and that I would indeed live, he then laughed uncontrollably. "Way to go, Mom. Come on, laugh, you know it's funny!" is what he said to be exact. Glad I could make your day, Keller.

So, several days of barely moving....soaking in hot baths...taking a Vicodin or two....and lots & lots of extra strength Tylenol...I'm still beyond black & blue over 1/2 of my legs & hips & tush & up my back. I'm so grateful that nothing was broken, but have thoroughly realized that I need to SLOW DOWN...GET IN SHAPE...and that I'm not as young as I think I am sometimes....b/c I'm certainly not healing as fast as I thought I would. (which reminds me, please pray for me & my oh-so-sore bottom on a 5 hour flight next week to Portland!!)

So, here's what I want to hear about this week, to enter you into the drawing for the Chipboard Books....WHAT'S THE WORST FALL YOU'VE EVER TAKEN? Have you ever done anything embarassing like this?!? Come on, share here...make me feel better...like I'm not the only clutz in the world! Post here or email me at kim@acidfree.com. I'll post the winner Sunday night!

Oh, I have fallen. I think that I am the biggest clutz in the world. Besides falling off the porch of our cabin, falling in the garage off brick steps and just tripping over my two feet and a rug in the grocery store of all places. Except for the rain in the grocery store I couldn't blame snow or rain for any of it. Just me! The biggest fall I have had is when we were building an addition to our house and I decided to do the painting and wallpapering myself since I was here all day anyway. I had a small step stool that I was going around and using and I was rushing around as usual and not paying attention to what I was doing. I placed the stool over a vent that had yet to be covered since we had no flooring down. Only the corner of the stool was there on it so when I placed my full weight on it I took a nasty tumble with lots of power tools and other misc. building supplies around. Needless to say, no one seen it, but I was in my gown and I beleive I was black and blue from my lower back all over especially my tushie! I guess I should consider it a blessing that nothing was broken!

I think we've all taken a tumble or two on our lives. One of the worst for me happened on a cruise ship. I had gotten up in the night to use the facilities. I don't know if I didn't have my sea legs or what, but I lost my balance and fell on top of a table that was in our room. It knocked the wind out of me and I had several cuts & bruises. Not pretty in a bathing suit! Plus, I was pretty stiff & sore for the rest of the cruise. We still had a great time though!

I can't recall a fall but once at church when I stood up, my skirt fell below my butt. I was young (around 11-12) and was SO embarrassed! It was a hammy down from my sister and the sipper was messed up. I never wore it again. Feel better soon!

I had 2 incidents last year. The 1st was not my clumsiness in any way, but I was sore. I was skiing at a small local hill at a midnight session. We were taking one last run before quitting when an out of control snowboarder came out of nowhere and plowed into me. I was OK, except for a very sore shoulder - where he hit me.

The other incident was more my fault. I have a habit of reading while walking. One day last May on my way home from work I was doing just that when I stepped into a pot hole and went down. Nothing was broken, but my foot was severly sprained. I ended up in a "boot" which I wore that weekend to the graduations of both of my sons - one from college and one from high school (and a niece also from high school the same weekend). And the boot also slowed me down a bit on a trip to the Canadian Rockies that we took just after graduations. It's not very easy to hike when you're wearing one of those boots, but I manages a couple of short hikes anyway! I hope you're feeling better soon.

Have you ever fallen up? I did. I was at the mall and going to take a step up to get on the sidewalk and did not lift my leg enough to clear the step. My toe hung on the edge and I started falling. It seemed like I fell for ever. I was almost falling in slow motion. I finally landed on the sidewalk. I am 47 years old and when I looked around the only people that saw me (that I know about) were 2 ladies in their 60's or 70's walking to their car. They had stopped and watched the whole embarrassing ordeal. Then they headed to me and were saying "Are you ok?" I was, but I had hit my leg at some point and it was throbbing. My hand had broken some of the fall and had been scratched by gravel and was bleeding a very small amount. I jumped up and took off into the mall. My daughter worked at a restaurant there so far some reason I headed straight there. She was standing at the door and when I told her what I did and showed her my hand she started laughing!! I went to the restroom to clean up and found a huge knot already on my leg. I left the mall at that point and went home. Oh the comforts of home. Wrong, I told my husband and he laughed. They could not believe I could fall up!

I won't even talk about falling up and down the stairs in our house! However, I can sympathize with you on rain and slick! Because I live in the desert, parking lots and roads get very slick in the rain because all the oil rises up when we do get rain. So, I happened to slip in the Target parking lot! Guess I was in too much of a hurry to get to my car.

Friday seems to be a GREAT DAy. Would love to win something - Haven't been very lucky lately.

Coming out of Stop & Shop, my feet came right out from under me and I landed flat on my back and hit my head hard. Must have an awfully hard head, since the only thing that was sore was my back the next day. Checked out at the ER.

Forgot to mention that time I tripped going up a curb and fell flat on my nose. Really felt clumsy. Turns out the curb is higher than most and I just misjudged. Nothing broken but my pride.

Oh my goodness too funny! There is a fabulous dining establishment that we frequent with my in-laws. Their floor is extremely slick for some reason. I slip and slide EVERY single time we go there. I really thought it was b/c of the strong drinks. Until we went for my birthday when I was pregnant. I was certainly not drinking on this trip since I was pregnant. Well needless to say I can now attest that it was NOT the alcohol that was making me slip and slide. I fell flat on my very pregnant bum and managaed to pull someone's (from another party even!!!) plate down to the floor with me! Oh boy, what fun!!!

First of all, I hope you heal before your flight to Portland! I don't heal as quickly as I used to,either.
When our second son was about a year
old, I was taking him to my parents'
house for a visit! Unbeknown to me,
they had a board across their doorway leading into their kitchen/family room to keep their dogs from the carpeted family room! I was holding Alex and once we got up the basement steps and into their hallway, I began to walk into their kitchen and fell hard over the unseen board. My main concern was to protect my son from injury, so both of my hands went to cover him. Thus, I couldn't break my fall. Luckily, my son's head didn't hit the floor and he was fine. I bruised pretty well up my body, but I didn't break anything!!!!!! Meanwhile, my sister, niece and my parents started laughing so hard ( once they knew that Alex and I were fine ). Many thanks, Cindi

We have baby gates in between our kitchen and family room to keep pets and children where they belong. I was carrying a basket of laundry and stepped over the gate. My slipper caught and I landed on all fours. Hard. Shook the whole house. Couldn't move for several minutes. I agree- we need to slow down.

My heart and prayers go out to you. I have fallen several times in my life time. I have fallen on ice in our driveway and down our garage steps. These things happen. That is the definition of an accident. It had to feel better when your new puppy licked you in the face. You know now that your pup loves you so much already. Maybe that is worth the fall????

Actually, in all of my 59 years, I cannot recall taking a bad fall of any kind. Of course, my son makes fun of my all the time because he says that I walk like an old lady in any kind of bad weather

Actually, in high school, for homecoming...this is what happened. There was a pie in the teacher face contest and then the cheerleaders were to go after that. Well obviously the floor wasn't cleaned ENOUGH.
When on the sideline and getting ready to run out into formation, my feet slipped completely backwards from underneath me. I fell flat on my face and broke the fall with my elbows on the ground. I was so embarrassed but had to get up fast and run into formation. The other cheerleaders didn't see it happen. Oh yea, I fell off a table while trying to dance on it in New York and ruined my shinbone for a month also!!

I, too, have been "attacked" by a baby gate. I was working at a day care when I was in my early 20's. There was a baby gate between the room with the eating area and play area. I was walking over it with a toddler in my arms. My flip-flop got caught on it and down me, the toddler and the gate went. I was able to fully protect the child (thank goodness!), but I was pretty bruised up from the gate. That gate was brutal, it tripped many in the time I was there!

I went to Dewberry Farm with my daughter & grandson. We were walking through the corn maze & I tripped on a corn stalk. My feet didn't move forward to break the fall so I fell flat on my face. I was carrying my camera--parts broke off and the lens was full of dirt. My glasses were bent and full of dirt and within a day, I realized I had broken a rib. I got meds from the doctor for the pain. It took about 4 weeks for the pain to stop.

My most embarrassing moment was probably when i was in College. It was raining and I was running late for class (as usual. I ran into the building and when i tried to make the turn into my classroom, my wet shoes slid on the smooth floor and i ended up falling on my bum and sliding thru the door and into the middle of my classroom, stopping at the feet of my professor. There was dead silence until my professor confessed that he had never had a student "fall" for him before. The class erupted into laughter. Humilliated, i managed to stand up and, with a wet butt, find a seat in the back of the class. The only thing i really hurt was my pride.
Hope you feel better soon!

I was about 18 and walking out of my dad's house during the winter. Now I was perfectly sober but was carrying a carton of 4 wine coolers in one hand and a bag of snacks in the other. It was probably the 2nd or 3rd date with my now hubby. The steps were slightly icy from the freezing rain and yet down I went in the cold wet rain. 4 concrete steps and man was I bruised up. Hubby and friend laughed after they made sure I was all right
