CRUISE OPTIONS - Give us your Opinion

We're trying to finalize the details of our next SCRAPBOOK CRUISE!! But, we need your input! We've nailed down the week of April 5-12...and narrowed it to 2 different cruises. Here are the 2 options:

Cruise #1:
  • 7-Day Cruise on Carnival Legend, departing Tampa Bay Sunday, April 5th & returning Sunday, April 12th
  • 4 Ports of Call --- Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Belize, and Roatan Island (Honduras)
  • Cost - $850 - $950 (1st & 2nd persons; 3rd & 4th persons slightly less depending on availability)
  • Scrapbooking fee of $39 (3 classes, 3 make & take projects, crop space for entire cruise...this is just for scrappers...friends & family members joining you don't pay this!)

Cruise #2:

  • 5-Day Cruise on Carnival Inspiration, departing Tampa Bay Monday, April 6th & returning Saturday, April 11th
  • 2Ports of Call --- Cozumel & Grand Cayman
  • Cost - $650 - $750 (1st & 2nd persons; 3rd & 4th persons slightly less depending on availability)
  • Scrapbooking fee of $39 (3 classes, 3 make & take projects, crop space for entire cruise...this is just for scrappers...friends & family members joining you don't pay this!)

These costs INCLUDE all taxes, fees, and even fuel surcharges. Also, our classes are COMPLETE classes...like we teach at scrapbook conventions across the country (usually $25 - $30 each). You'll learn new techniques and leave with lots of finished projects.

So, here's what we want to know:

1. Would you consider going on either of these cruises?

2. Which cruise would you prefer?

3. Would you even consider your 2nd choice?

4. Would you prefer making a deposit in July and monthly payments thereafter? or would you prefer a deposit of 1/2 and second payment of 1/2 due 90 days before sailing?

By answering these questions & posting your answers here, you'll be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift certificate!! We appreciate your time & input, and we're blessed to have you as our customer!

1. Would you consider going on either of these cruises? No. I don't have the extra cash for something like this.

2. Which cruise would you prefer? If I *were* to go, it would be cruise # 2.

3. Would you even consider your 2nd choice? Yes. They're very similar.

4. Would you prefer making a deposit in July and monthly payments thereafter? or would you prefer a deposit of 1/2 and second payment of 1/2 due 90 days before sailing? Hmm...tough call. I honestly don't know, but I think the monthly payments would be easier.

Not sure if I can swing the dates of either cruise. I like the second option because I LOVE cozumel and it's more affordable. I would prefer to make payments 1/2 and 1/2

Ooh, how fun!

1. Would you consider going on either of these cruises?
>YES!

2. Which cruise would you prefer?
>I would definitely prefer the 7 day cruise. Better value for money & I want as much time on a cruise as I can get!

3. Would you even consider your 2nd choice?
>Yes, I would still consider the other choice.

4. Would you prefer making a deposit in July and monthly payments thereafter? or would you prefer a deposit of 1/2 and second payment of 1/2 due 90 days before sailing?
>I think I would prefer to make the monthly payments. But would be nice to be able to do either. Or make monthly payments, but be able to pay more some months (than the minimum amount) if you wanted to. But that may create way too much work for you all!

I would definitely consider these cruises

I would prefer the longer

I have already done both ports on the shorter one so probably not

I would pay half now and half 90 days before the cruise

I would totally consider going on either of these cruises. I would prefer the second option. By then my kids will be 5 and 3, so the 5 day cruise will be easier to get my hubby and MIL to agree to! I checked the school calendar, and it's our county's spring break that week, so those are great dates!!!
I would also prefer a moderate downpayment and make monthly payments. As a teacher, extra money in July is hard to come by, but if it's low enough, I can come up with it.
Other concerns are about the crop space, will be able to leave our stuff in the crop room the entire time? Having to pack up and move around really stinks. 24 hour availability in the same room the entire week is a must! I wouldn't do any excursions, I'd just crop, so availability during those days is crucial too.
The lighting in the crop room is really important too. Night time cropping stinks if the lighting is bad.
Lastly, the actual space and tables is important. There should be enough room for everyone, with tables that are comfortable for cropping. When we had to crop in the library on the last cruise it was really uncomfortable.
Thanks for the opportunity to give input! I'm excited to see what you put together to offer us!
Katherine-Tampa(was on your first cruise with the messed up travel agent)

Hey Catherine! Our 2nd cruise was PERFECT!!! Remember the big room we had the last day on your cruise? the one w/ the big windows over the ocean? It had good light & tables...we had one like that from the time we got on the ship til the time we got off! We left our stuff there & everyone could crop around the clock. I got to relax & it really felt like a vacation!! I hope you can join us for this next one! :)

4. Monthly Payments

As a cruiser of that initial trip, I'm glad things are running smoother. NONE of the issues we encountered was due to you guys. We all got screwed by the travel agent. In fact, you tried to compensate (or shall I say overcompensated) for her goof ups and mistakes. No matter what....I had a great time and would cruise with you anytime!!!
Glad to see another one is being organized.

As for these dates, it's a little in the future for me, but I have it penciled in on my calendar.

I have never been on a cruise, I would LOVE to go!!! Also, I have been scrappin for years, in my mind, I am very creative, but could never find the time! But now I make scrappin a priority- I make the time for it & I LOVE it! So CRUISING & SCRAPPING- sounds like HEAVEN ON EARTH!! Both options sound perfect to me! The monthly payments sound like the better option for me. Sounds like such a great time to do what I love & make new friends from all over!!!!!!

I would prefer 1/2 and 1/2; however July as the first 1/2 isn't enough time to save up for a cruise. I would prefer first part due in Sept.

I prefer cruise #1, especially if I am flying to Tampa for the cruise. It would be nice to fly down, hop on the cruise ship and relax and enjoy. A short cruise seems like you hop on and off.

3. Would you even consider your 2nd choice? Not really

How perfect! It's during my spring break! I would consider going on one of these cruises - it would be my third croppin cruise. I would prefer the 2nd cruise b/c of the cost but would consider both options. I don't mind doing the two payments (1/2 and 1/2). Hope it happens!

1. I would consider either of these; I have been on one scrapbook cruise and would like to go again. The main problem I see is travel to Florida and the cost of airfare. My husband went last time but not sure if I could get him to go on a scrapbook cruise again.

2. I would prefer #2 because I need the other two days for travel and to unpack.

3. Yes.

4. Either way is fine with me.
