Wishing for a Fabulous Friday...

Today is not going to be easy. Just as many days during this week of March have not been easy for me lately. 4 years ago this week, my grandmother -- Ginny to those who knew & loved her -- passed away after a courageous bout with Alzheimers. 2 years ago today, my father left us suddenly after a fall & hitting his head. And today. Today we go to the memorial service for our friend & mentor & teacher & artist....well, you get the picture. Please say a silent prayer or keep a good thought for her friends & family today.

So, what do I want from you today to be entered into our Fabulous Friday giveaway this week? I want to hear GOOD things. HAPPY things. What is this week like for you? What has it been like before? Birthdays? Weddings? Vacations? Silly Stories? Please, I beg of you, send us comments & emails full of good news...happy memories...make us laugh today. Or at least try to.

That's it....send us something good about this week in your life, past or present. You'll be entered to win a Tote Bag w/ fun surprises from Create N Crop, the fun group that put on the event in Perry, GA two weeks ago. You can go to www.createncrop.com if you're in the southeast & would like to attend one of their other events.

Thanks for being our customer.

No Words.

No words can express our shock and disbelief that you're gone.

No words can express our gratitude for knowing you.

No words can express the love you showed while here....not just your love, but God's love.

No words can express the imprint you left on the hearts of every person you ever met.

No words can express the emptiness we now all feel.

No words can express how much you are loved.

No words can express how much you are missed.

(if you didn't know our friend and creative genius, Debbie Williams, it's impossible to describe her....we just ask that you keep her family in your prayers - husband George, daughter Nan, and son Will, sister Susan, and the rest of her amazing family - thru this difficult time....and that you do something for someone close to you, just to make them smile...in honor of Debbie...because you never know when they will be gone)

Have you met Eric? (and another giveaway, of course!)

Meet Eric Erickson. Who's Eric??

We're excited to say that Eric is the newest member to the Keller's Design Team!!! He's cute. He's funny. He's smart. But, best of all, he's an amazing scrapbooker!

We met Eric this past weekend at the Create N Crop event in Perry, GA. I kept hearing people say " have you seen that guy's scrapbooks? They are sooooo cool"....but I was busy teaching & working our booth with Keller that I didn't make it over to take a look....so a customer went & grabbed one of his scrapbooks & brought to me to see....OH MY! The first page made my mouth drop open...I may have even stopped breathing for a minute. I sat right down and went thru each page. Touching. Reading. Trying to take in all the details. I was amazed by the photos and how he uses them. I lifted flaps & hidden pages. I laughed. I cried. Isn't that what a scrapbook is supposed to be?

After I made it thru the album, I marched over & introduced myself....even though he & Keller had already become friends & Keller had told him about me. I then enjoyed his other scrapbooks he had on display. Within minutes of talking, I asked him to design for us...and he said YES!!!!

Why was Eric there? Just to meet fellow scrapbookers. Just to inspire fellow scrapbookers. Just to see what this industry is all about. He's scrapbooked for years & years, but has finally decided he wants to see & do more in this great industry. He does have a fun website, blog, and videos where he shares his amazing scrapbook techniques & ideas. And, now he will be doing stuff for us, too! Oh, happy day!!

OK, so how does this tie into our Fabulous Friday Giveaway?

We want you to get to know Eric. We want you to learn from him. Be inspired by him.

So, to do that, you need to go to his site & cruise around it & check out his blog. Here's the link:

http://www.loadofscrap.com/

Then, tell us your favorite page of his that's shown on his site. Tell us why. Is it the fun play on words in each of his titles? Is it the way he uses photos in the most unique ways ever? Is it his journaling...not just what he says but that handwriting?!? (geez, I can only dream of writing like that) Is it all the stitching he uses on paper? Oh, so much to see and learn.

Tell us what you see & like. Post a comment here or email us....we really prefer comments here so everyone can share. We will choose 3 lucky winners this week....each will receive a $20 online gift certificate from Keller's!

Cool, huh? Meet an amazing scrapbooker. Check out his layouts. Win a gift certficate to shop for free. Fabulous Friday, indeed.

Another Fabulous Friday!

It's Friday...that means time for another great giveaway!

This week we're giving away 2 sets of our favorite acrylic paints-1 bottle each of 4 great colors. We use these for painting chipboard, distressing pieces and pages, and so much more.

Any acrylic paint is acidfree and safe to use in your scrapbooks. So, you can buy the inexpensive bottles from the craft store or Walmart (about $1.00 each), or you can buy the bottles that look a little cuter from other manufacturers (usually $3-$5) geared toward scrapbooking.

So, to win these pretty colors of paint...tell us your favorite story involving painting...whether in your scrapbook or painting your house...anything! Did your child try to help you and end up making a mess? Did your dog step in paint and track it all over your house?

I guess my story would have to be that I let my 7 year old daughter paint a plaster figure she got from the store. When I came to check on her, she was tired of painting the figure and had covered her hands in paint and kept sticking her hands together...what a mess!

So, share your story with us...remember, we'll have 2 winners this week!

Have a great weekend!

Tracy

Sketch 109

Layer Stackers and Rings for a page with lots of photos.
The double-page option that our Sketch Club members receive shows the Rings and Stackers carried over to the second page. The pages are also embellished with stamps, ribbon, and bling from the add-on embellishment kit.

Sketch 108

Skinny strips of print paper are a great way to use scraps and make a cute border!
Sketch Club members receive pieces to make a double-page spread. As shown in this photo, the double does not have to look exactly like the first page.

Sketch 107

Squares of cardstock cut into corners, a large photo mat, and 2 tags make an elegant layout for any occasion.

Sketch Club members now receive photos of how to make a second page out of your kit. The photos also show the double pages jazzed up with our add-on embellishment kit!

Sketch 106

These colors are great for Valentine's Day, but change the colors and the chipboard shape for any page theme!

Starting with Sketch 106 in our monthly Sketch Club, you will receive enough pieces to make a complete double-page layout. We now have photos of the double-page...with pieces from our embellishment add-on kit added to the page included in the full-color inserts.

Sketch 105

"Hanging" Stackers make great photo mats.

Sketch 104

Layer Stackers to create a border on the page. Add photos to Stackers and Connector Liner.

Sketch 103

Layer Rings, Stackers, and strips of cardstock for a pretty page.

Setch 102

Layering our print Rings on our Accordion Tag is another way to showcase photos.

Sketch 101

This sketch features our Mini Connectors-great for photos or journaling!

Sketch 100!

I love the cheerful colors in this page! Just cut a sheet of print paper in half...use the other half to make a 2-page layout. Change out the papers for a completely different look.

Sketch 99

This sketch uses our print Connector Liners as photo mats. We used 4x6 photos, but you could also use two 3x4 (horizontal) photos on each Connector Liner.

Sketch 98

This sketch showcases our Accordion Tags. Add photos or journaling to the panels.

Sketch 97

Quick page to showcase at least 5 photos...make it a double page and add up to 6 photos.

Sketch 96

2 sheets of background cardstock and 1 sheet of print paper + a few embellishments make this page (or double page) go together quickly.

Sketch 95

This page looks great for a Christmas layout... but just change the papers and it would be great for any layout.

Sketch 94

1 inch strips are a great way to use scrap paper! Flip the sketch and add a few more scalloped Stackers for a simple second page.

Sketch 93

Punch holes in out round Scalloped Stackers for added interest. We used a standard sized hole punch, but you could use a tiny punch as well.

Sketch 92

This page features one of our file folders...adhere photos or journaling cards inside...or make a "pocket" out of it to slip extra photos into.
