Fabulous Friday...

We have really enjoyed watching the Olympics the past couple of weeks. I think the talent, ability, and dedication of these athletes is amazing! (I can't imagine getting up as early as so many of them do to practice everday, either!)

So to enter our giveaway today, tell us your favorite memory of the 2010 Olympics or what has inspired you while watching the Olympics. Leave a comment here on the blog (or email us if you have to).

Here's what you can win today...our "ABC's of You and Me" class kit that we are teaching at the conventions this year...this is NOT available for sale on our site!
We will post the winner Sunday! And if you're in Louisville, KY, visit us at the Creating Keepsakes convention this week-end.

Debbie & Laurie, please email me at kim@acidfree.com with your contact info so we can send your prizes to you.

Thank you, too, to everyone for all the wonderful birthday wishes! I had a great weekend with family & friends in Pine Mountian, GA. If you are close enough to go & haven't before, I say go & have some fun like we did...Wild Mountain Safari (where you drive thru & feed animals out of your hands!!).....quaint small town with fun shops & an ice cream soda shop that's been there over a 100 years...mountain cabins to enjoy s'mores & the outdoors....all so fun. I will be getting some fun pictures on our facebook page soon, so be sure to check back.

And, probably the funniest thing I've seen in a while...watching my brother KISS a camel and long horn steer!! Only my brother.

Another fun giveaway....

Just because it's Friday, we've got another Fabulous Friday Giveaway!

This week, we are giving 2 lucky winners a Fold Out Accordion book from Cardstock Warehouse. If you haven't heard of Cardstock Warehouse, we just love them! They make the 36 custom colors of cardstock we use on a daily basis...and it's just the best....one side is textured and one side is smooth, the best of both worlds...gotta love that.

And, to be entered to win, just leave a comment here (or email us) to let us know one of your favorite birthday memories. Sunday is my 43rd, and I'll be back on here Sunday night to post the winners...and maybe share a funny story or two of our weekend. (I'm off on a family adventure that my brother has deemed "Lampoon's Wilderness Weekend"...so I'm sure funny stories WON'T be in short supply!)

Happy Friday!

Heartfelt....

Heartfelt.

That's the name of our newest Ring Quote. It will be the perfect addition to so many layouts and cards. I brought 3 of them home myself yesterday! And, then I used one of them on this Classic Heart Chipboard Book, with white cardstock Hearts and Rockets Red Glare Hearts. I know this is my company & I see our products everyday, but it still thrills me to see how quickly I can make projects b/c all the work is already done for me.

I hope our products do the same for you.

Fun idea with hearts...

Had fun making this Valentine's banner with our new Classic Hearts:

I used a pack of the Classic Hearts in the Eye Candy Collection, adhered to 3 of the 5 chipboard hearts that come in the Classic Heart Chipboard book. I punched another set of holes in each of the hearts (1 hole is punched in the book ones)...then added on of our Angelic Scroll Stamps & our "Kiss" word stamp...put a Slide Spot in the pink Slide Mount, and added a couple Rings in Truffle cardstock. I distressed the edge of all the pieces with brown ink. And, the cute LOVE letters are from the $1 section at Target. Oh, I added Stickles to the inside edge of the Slide Mount and the Rings. Then, I tied it all together with white sheer ribbon.

20 minutes. Precut pieces. Adorable decoration. It's that simple.

Hoping your having a weekend full of love!

It's Friday...and Fabulous...

because it's time for another Fabulous Friday Giveaway!!

You know Sunday is Valentine's Day, right? How could you NOT know that, with every commercial on tv & radio and the zillions of junk emails reminding you to buy flowers & chocolate & to go out to dinner?!

Isn't it supposed to be about love? Pure & simple, love.

I haven't been a huge fan of Valentine's over the last several years (can you tell I'm divorced?)...but I do have fun seeing it thru Keller's eyes. He used to have so much fun making cards & treats to share at school...now, at 14, it's all about the dance. And, tonight is the big night for him...Valentine's Dance as an 8th grader at the middle school. (he keeps telling me that everything this year is more important b/c his class is the oldest in the school!) At first I was excited that a girl asked him to the dance. Then, it sunk in. He has a date. YIKES! Keller on a date....too much to comprehend. I'll be sure to let you all know how it goes tonight....

But, back to LOVE and our giveaway. I know that we all show love to our children & those around us everyday. Maybe not as much as we should, but we do.

But, how do those around us show us that they do indeed love us?

To be entered in today's drawing, leave a comment here (please try...but you can email us if you have to) telling us about your most special memory of someone showing you they loved you. Maybe it was something they said....maybe a gift they gave you...maybe something they did for you. Tell us. Maybe it will give us all new ideas of how to show our special ones how much we love them.

Oh, want to know what you could win??

(11" jumbo heart books, shown here in our Family Kit)

This week 3 lucky winners will receive one of our Jumbo Heart Books! Yep, 3 people this week. Why? Because I love you, of course.

Happy Friday...and Happy Valentine's Day!

Kim

ps...check back late Sunday for the posting of winners.

Fabulous Friday Winner!

Just to clarify (since there are a LOT of Cindys out there), the winner of the Scrap on a Dime class is "cindy" (lowercase c) who said that her favorite class was a Frankenstein mini book. She replied on the blog. Sorry for any confusion!

New shapes and patterns

I just love the new Classic Hearts and pretty new papers the Stackers and Rings come in.
This pattern reminded me of a bug and decided it would be a great time to create the "Don't Bug Me" hanging that I've been wanting to! I cut the heart for the wings...printed the title on my computer...added Stackers & Rings & Slide Mounts & Flowers...Love the way this turned out!!
Wonder if this sign will work now if I place it on the door of my scrap room?!!
Kathy

New Patterns!

This is Kathy....and I just got home from our trip to CKC Portland and think I have started to catch up on my sleep! We had a great time meeting all the folks there in Portland. It was the first time I had seen our new shapes and lots of new patterns. This pattern just made me happy when I looked at it... so I whipped out this layout about my silly daughter using Stackers, Rings, and some of our acrylic stamps. It is bright and fun just like she is!!
Try this simple layout about someone you love in your life. It's perfect gift for Valentine's Day... a layout that lets them know how you feel!

90 Years Ago Today...

my grandmother was born! Even though she's been gone since March of '06, it seems like just yesterday...but at the same time, it seems like forever. Time is funny that way.

This is one of my favorite pictures of Ginny and Keller together. They had such a special bond. And, I try so hard to keep her memory alive for him. I will never forget her laugh, her loving touch, and the many stories she would tell me....and I hope much of that stays with him thru time, too.

If you still have your grandmother (or grandparents for that matter), hug her today for me...or call her to tell her you love her if she's not close enough to hug. Do it in honor of my Ginny.
