Email updates...

You've heard the saying "one step forward and two steps back"....but this week has felt like one step forward and TEN steps back!! But, as I type this, I sincerely hope that all email issues are behind us. Oh, please let that be the case.

As of yesterday, over 1200 emails in my kim@acidfree.com account are gone. Unrecoverable. Gone. If you have emailed me lately, please do so again. I will get back to you just as quickly as I can.

The info@acidfree.com seems to be working with no glitches. If you're having problems with any of our other email addresses, please let us know!

Again, we apologize for these issues, but please know we are working on it daily to make sure things are fixed...permanently!

Fabulous Friday is back....

and we're going to give away more prizes than ever! We missed last week 'due to technical difficulties' so we want to make it up to you for that. But, we're also super-duper excited about something new we're doing...the Keller's way, of course...so it's easy...and fun...and stinkin' cute!

But, first....here's what we wanna know...and by answering these few questions, you'll be entered to win 1 of 4 (YES, FOUR!!!) great prizes this week...just read to the end to find out what you might win!

Ok, so you see this pic? What do we want to know?? We want to know what you do for Christmas Cards or Holiday Cards each year. Answer these questions by leaving a comment here or post on our Facebook fan page. Either way, you'll be entered to win.

1. Do you send cards out at all?

2. Do you send Christmas cards or Hanukah cards or New Years cards or another theme?

3. How many do you send?

4. Do you include a photo either on the card or in the card?

5. Any special card tradition that you'd like to share?

Ok, easy enough, right? Wasn't some big, long questionaire that takes you an hour to complete! Just 5 easy questions that we'd like some feedback on.

NOW, to the fun part....wanna know what your playin' for? (Survivor fans, don't you love when Jeff Probst says that before a challenge....Keller says that all week around the house)

You might win a pack of new CHRISTMAS CARDS from Keller's Creations!!! Yes, our own cards! Printed on the front with patterns from our Country Christmas Perfect Paper Collection. Printed on ultra-thick perfect white cardstock. Scored to fold. Blank inside. BUT able to run thru any home printer!! Oh, and my favorite part?? Photo slits cut on the front printed panel to hold a 4x6 photo!!!!!!!!! No tape or adhesive necessary...but also means the recipient of the beautiful card can then put the entire card in a frame b/c it's so darn cute, or they can slide that photo out & add to fridge or another frame for lasting memories...no more wondering what to do with all those holiday cards with printed sayings around pictures. Ya know, most people toss them away at the end of each season. Some of us scrappers actually incorporate them in our scrapbooks. Some of us (uh hum...me) pile them up for ONE DAY when we will scrap them. But, we spend alot of time getting the right photo shot for the card...then alot of money on the cards...then alot of time addressing the cards...and then more money to send them. Wouldn't it be nice if that photo hung around someone's house a little longer?!

So, that's what you're playin' for. Our cards will be ready to ship next week, just in time for this year's upcoming Christmas season. They will be in packs of 10 in 3 options: Dots, Stripes, and Plaids. So, 3 winners will each get a pack of 1 of these patterns. Then, 1 lucky GRAND PRIZE WINNER this week will receive 1 pack each of all 3!!!

So, 4 lucky winners this week....doesn't that make Friday fabulous?

CONTACT CHANGES

Whew, it's been a long few months fighting email issues! But, as of today, I think - actually I pray - that they are finally fixed!!

We've been missing emails. We've been sending emails that don't go anywhere. We've had delays in emails, sometimes hours or even days. We've made server changes & upgrades, all of which made it better...but then it would start again. Finally yesterday, the technical reason I was given for our problems was SPAM! And, tons of it. More than filters can handle. Hijacking email accounts thru spam has happened to Facebook, AOL, and lots of other big companies. Guess I should feel better that it's not just us...but I don't.

So, after over 8 years of having kellerscreations@acidfree as our main email address, we've been forced to shut down that email address.

Our new main email address is info@acidfree.com. Please update your address book.

You can also email me personally with kim@acidfree.com.

If you've emailed us in the last several months and NOT heard back from us, I'm so sorry. Please know we've been trying everything we can to fix things. Also, please email us again now if we need to follow up on anything with you.

Our contact info is now updated on the CONTACT US page on our site, too.

Please know we are still here & now able to answer each & every email in a timely manner, as we had done for years until recently.

Personally, I hate computers and other technical gadgets...but I know that we need them...have all become so dependent on them...and they do make life easier & businesses run smoother...but only WHEN THEY WORK. They can cripple you when they don't. I've lost more sleep than I can ever make up. I've had a few more glasses of wine in the last few months, in efforts to unwind after so many long hours. I want my life & my business back, both of which I used to be able to enjoy day and night! I want to get back to making customers happy, not frustrated. I want to get back to designing all the new products that are swirling in my head. Today should be the first day back in that direction.

Because of this technical crisis, we missed last Friday's usual post here on our blog. We will make that up to you this Friday, so check back.

Please help us spread the word of our new contact information. And, thank you for your patience & continued support!

Kim

Fabulous Friday (Saturday Edition)!

So this is a day late...the pace of things really picks up in the fall, doesn't it?

First of all, our winner of the calendar kit from last week is Babs (blog post). Babs, email us with your info so we can get your prize out to you. Thank you all for your sweet comments to the McLendon family and Keller!

I ran across a quote this week that I LOVE:

"There are two ways to live your life.
One is as though nothing is a miracle.
The other is as if everything is."
-Albert Einstein

I just love this. Sometimes we get bogged down in the day to day or the worries of life. This helped me put a little perspective on things that I am going through, as well as others around me.

Now for today's giveaway-we're giving away one of our brand new wall hangings to help you get a head start on the holidays.

To be entered in the drawing to win, just leave a comment telling us what "little miracle" you are thankful for!

Have a great weekend!

Tracy

New Giveaway & Winner from last Friday...

First, congratulations to FrancineB (post in blog comments) for being the winner of last week's giveaway. Francine, please email us your info so we can get your Magnetic Photo Rope out to you!

Now, for this week's giveaway...was working on another post, but decided to shoot from the heart, so to speak. It's been a rough two weeks. I can't go into any details at all, but my heart aches for my son. Keller is being faced with something that most adults would not know how to deal with. If you're a mom, you know how hard it is to watch your child learn tough lessons in life. It's so hard to make them see now that these trials, no matter how painful & seemingly insurmountable, will strengthen their spirit...fortify their character...prepare them for even more trials down the road. It's hard to make them see that choosing to do the right thing when no one is watching is the real test. It's also hard to NOT be able to shout from the rooftops how proud you are of your child, when you're not supposed to know all they are facing & how they are choosing to handle it.

So, here, let me shout it: KELLER, I AM SO PROUD OF YOU. YOU WILL MAKE IT THRU THIS. YOU WILL NOT ONLY SURVIVE, BUT BE A BETTER MAN FOR IT. STAY STRONG. STAY FOCUSED. I LOVE YOU.

Also, going on in Thomasville today is the Memorial Service for our fallen hero, Blake McLendon, who was killed in Afghanistan last week while serving in the US Navy. Our city has declared today "A day of mourning in Thomasville". To Blake's family, please know how grateful we are for your son's life, his service to our nation, and his sacrifice. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Ok, now for some fun...so for today's giveaway...since I am anxiously anticipating a new year already, I want to give one lucky winner our new Calendar Kit for 2011. You can see it in the shopping section on our website under the Calendars link...and it's pictured on our facebook page, too.

To be entered in the drawing, just leave us a comment today...either advice from one mom to another, as we all need to draw off each other's wisdom & strength...or better yet, a simple shout out to Blake, his family, and/or all those serving in our military. Post here or on our Facebook page.

Good luck!

Fabulous & Funny Friday...

It's time for another fun giveaway! And, while I was working diligently on our blog post for today....after a very rough week emotionally for me....I took a break to see if I had missed any earth-shattering news on FaceBook. Well, the world seems to still be turning, but I did come across a list that made me laugh out loud (which was more than needed)...so I decided to post it here for our blog followers today. Maybe I'm not the only one who needs a chuckle right now.

So read this...then read below to see what we're giving away this week & how easy it is to try to win.

Truths for Mature Humans:

1. I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.

2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

3. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.

4. There is great need for a sarcasm font.

5. How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

6. Was learning cursive really necessary?

7. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on # 5. I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.

8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.

9. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.

10. Bad decisions make good stories.

11. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren’t going to do anything productive for the rest of the day.

12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection...again.

13. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page technical report that I swear I did not make any changes to.

14. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.

15. I think the freezer deserves a light as well.

16. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lite than Kay.

17. I wish Google Maps had an “Avoid Ghetto" routing option.

18. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.

19. How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they said?

20. I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars team up to prevent a jerk from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers and sisters!

21. Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them forever.

22. Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.

23. Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, finding their cell phone, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey - but I'd bet everyone can find and push the snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time, every time!

24. The first testicular guard, the "Cup," was used in Hockey in 1874 and the first helmet was used in 1974. That means it only took 100 years for men to realize that their brain is also important. (Ladies.....Quit Laughing.)

Funny, huh? To enter this week's Fabulous Friday Giveaway, just tell us you favorite one from the list above & why. I don't know if I could narrow it down to just one. The snooze button one is me, for sure. Number 10 and number 18...probably a dead tie for the best on the list in my world. But, love them all!

How about you? Just leave a comment here or or FaceBook. You'll be entered to win.

Oh, here's what is up for grabs this week:

I'm sharing one of my favorite finds...out of my personal stash! It's a Red Photo Cable Holder. I got mine at www.photojojo.com, but I've also seen them at Urban Outfitters.

Leave us a comment & you might win one right here!

Happy Friday!

Kim

Fabulous Friday Giveaway....

It's Friday again, woo hoo! You know that means another fun giveaway!!

Short & sweet this week....here's what we want to know:

What would you do with a book like this?

It's a wood book, not chipboard. The different feel of the book is awesome, and so are the varying page sizes & shapes.

We used it as the base for our September Class Club kit with a fall theme:

It's that simple...tell us what you envision with this wood book...something for yourself? as a gift? an upcoming fall getaway? Tell us & you'll be entered to win. You can leave a comment here or post on our facebook fan page.

Happy Friday, everyone!

JV Jackets...and another Fabulous Friday Giveaway!

After over 400 pictures last week and this...I got a little smarter. I've gotten some shots that I love & will treasure...but none of Keller's gameface, none facing me, none up close...and believe me, I've put my telefoto lense to the test. So, I got the attention of one of the film guys at the JV game yesterday...gave him my camera & asked him to pose as a Yearbook photographer...pointed out Keller & off he went. Here's my favorite shot:

I thought Keller would recognize the camera, but I was safe. It's a good thing I had already talked to the yearbook staff last week & said I'd be sharing pix from the games...maybe one of those from yesterday will make the book...then Keller will never know!

Here's one I captured...love, love, LOVE that Keller so enjoys every moment he's with the team. (guess that might not be true during sprints) Just look at his face...says it all...

And, I'm so impressed with the whole coaching staff. They are so much more than coaches to these boys. Especially Keller. He's gained a group of dads to call his own. And, I love that they pray before and after each game.

Guess that's enough football jabber for this week...oh, wait...GO DAWGS!!!! Just had to get that in...UGA kicks off at 12:21 EST tomorrow...after a long winter, spring & summer. I'm so ready for the boys of fall!

Ok, so really...now, I will focus. We have another great giveaway this week. But, would you like to know who WON last week first?!?!?! Drum roll, please......

Kim Bright! Congratulations, Kim!! Email us your info & your prize pack from Queen & Co. will be on its way to you.

For this week, we have a prize pack of 5 Clearly Clever Transparencies from Got Memories in Greensboro, NC. Just add photos & an embellishment or two, and you'll have a layout done in mere minutes with these 8.5x11 transparency sheets...they even have a "built in photo box" so you know just where to put your photo.

Visit their site here:

To be entered to win these 5 great packs, just leave a comment here or on our Facebook fan page telling us who your favorite football team is & why. Don't like football? Don't know a team to cheer for?? Just put GO DAWGS or GO JACKETS as your comment...you'll make me & Keller happy and be entered to win, all at the same time!

(I'll be sure to update Facebook tomorrow with Keller's varsity game score tomorrow....there's even more pressure for them to win tonight as they were ranked 5th in the state in AAAA football this week!)

Check back as we post the winner the first of the week, too.

Happy Friday,

Kim

Fabulous Friday Continued....

It was such an amazing day...for me and Keller...

The pep rally was loud & fun & crazy...

Keller is the 4th down from the top on the left side...

One of our cousins was the best cheerleader....

The coaches & the head of the journalism department surprised the team with a video...

Have you seen the Boys of Fall video by Kenny Chesney?? Google it & watch it, if not...great for all athletes. Anyway, the surprise was that they changed all the football footage in it to TCCHS footage...left in Kenny & the song & the coaches talking in it. AMAZING. I cried...but that's not a surprise.

Keller warmed up better than anyone on the team, if you ask me. All heart....

and he's the one in the middle who looks like he's praying...

#68 in all these shots....

Wishing the starters good luck....

It's kickoff time...

Looks like he played...muddy is good, right?

He cheered & urged the crowd to stand & holler the whole game...

I asked him last night if his arms were tired from waving them up & down at the crowd all night...

I've never seen him so happy....made me cry again...

We received the opening kickoff...scored a touchdown on the 2nd play from scrimmage. That was the only time we led....UNTIL we finally took the lead with 6 minutes to go. We stopped them twice after that. And then....the buzzer sounded...

WE WON!!!

It's not too late for you to still win our giveaway this week....if you haven't already entered...or even if you have, enter again...increase your odds...

Leave Keller a comment here (or on Facebook, which seems to be the most popular route) and congratulate him & his team for a hard-fought win last night!!! That's all you have to do to enter to win...way easier than what Keller & his team went thru to win last night!

I don't think Keller's feet have touched the ground yet!

Way to go, Jackets and #68! I've never been so proud!! (and yes, I cried some more)

Kim

Fabulous Friday is an understatement...

Today is fabulous because we're going to give away another great prize.

But, today is more than fabulous in our world. It's a frenzy of excitement and nerves. It's a first. It's going to be fun from beginning to end (hopefully). It's been on Keller's mind since last April...when he decided to try out for the highschool football team. TODAY IS KELLER'S FIRST FOOTBALL GAME.

It's a varsity game, so not sure if he'll see action on the field. He's just a Freshman. And at 6' 1.75", he still looks small next to the upperclassmen. And, he's still my baby, of course. So, I'm perfectly happy just seeing him in his uniform....seeing him run on the field...seeing him be a part of something so much bigger than himself.

Our day started at 6am...dressing in his varsity blazer and tie presented by the coaches yesterday. Then, a few last minutes to study for a World Geography test. And, Keller actually let me take a couple pictures...not many, but I'll take it.

Then, off to school....so fun for me to watch his 'swagger' as he left the car & walked to his building....so fun to see girls' heads turn toward the football player....so fun to see him 'high five' another lineman.

I hope Keller soaks it all in. And enjoys the fruits of his labor for the last 5 months...4 hours a day in 100+ degree heat every day. I hope he walks with pride all day knowing that he is one of only 7 Freshman to make Varsity. Not bad for a kid who had only previously played 4 football games at the Y in 5th grade. I want him to never forget the sound of the band and cheers at his first pep rally today. (and he even agreed to let me come & take pix at it...with permission from the coaches of course...so stay tuned for those this weekend) I want him to enjoy the short ride with his team across town...as Thomas County Central (county school, Keller's school) kicks off the season with the biggest rival in our town...by going to play the Thomasville Bulldogs (city school). I hope he remembers every word his coach has to say before running on the field. I hope he listens to the crowd tonight. And hears the drums & the cheerleaders & all the noise of this town that fills that stadium tonight.

It's big. It's Keller's day. Truly, a FABULOUS FRIDAY!

Ok, back to what you can win & how....

How would you like an assortment of embellishments from Queen & Co?? How about leaves & adhesive pearls & bling bats & so much more??! These are perfect for your upcoming FALL pages & projects! One lucky winner will receive this assortment courtesy of Queen & Co.

To enter, it's easy as always. Just leave a comment here or on our Facebook page (just click blue 'F' from our home page, http://www.acidfree.com/) to with Keller & his team good luck tonight! His team is the TCCHS Yellow Jackets...so Go Jackets!!!

Happy Friday, everyone!

Kim

Fabulous Friday Giveaway...and Fabulous 15!!

Ok, this is the easiest giveaway contest EVER to enter to win! But, bear with me just a minute before we get to that part...

What are we giving away? What could you win?!

How 'bout this Acrylic Cupcake Album from Clear Scraps??

It's pretty dang cute...and it's approximately 8x8 in size. It's just one of the many adorable products from our friends over at Clear Scraps. Visit them at http://www.clearscraps.com/ and tell 'em we sent ya!

Ok, back to the contest this week....seeing that cute cupcake album, does it kinda make you think of birthdays?? Hmmm....who's birthday is this week??? Why, Keller, of course!!

Yep, Keller turns 15 on Sunday. So, if you are the kind to attend church (or even if you watch from home on tv like me....or if you just want to say a random prayer), please say one for me on Sunday. I'm having a hard time accepting that my baby is going to be 15. And the he started highschool this past Monday. Freshman. Football team. 15. How? Mind-boggling.

Ok, last time to reign myself in & back to the contest at hand...it's as easy as it gets...leave a comment here to wish Keller a Happy Birthday! Our theme for him this weekend is Fabulous & 15, so it's perfect to go with our Fabulous Friday here. Send Keller good wishes, be entered to win a cupcake album. Told ya it was easy.

Oh, see...here's my baby on the first day of school this year. He just appears to be 6 feet 1 inch. He just appears to have a size 15 foot. He just appears to have football-ready neck and shoulders. In reality, he's 36 inches tall & still sits in my lap & still giggles at my silly jokes. (I know, I know...I need therapy)

Happy Friday,

Kim

Another Winner...and Paper with a Purpose!

First, congratulations to ALH1203 for being the winner of our last Fabulous Friday giveaway! Please email us your info, so we can send your Accordion Photo Boards out to you.

Next, check out these papers from Junkitz...

What if you could get all 25 sheets of these papers for just 10 cents each? And, what if that money went to a great cause?
Well, that's just what these papers are: PAPER WITH A PURPOSE.
We are trying to help my brother, David (whom many of you know & love from shows last year & our webisodes on YouTube), in his fundraising efforts for one of his best friends, Lori Stuart. She is just 45 & suffered a stroke that has left her totally paralyzed.
Read more about Lori's fight to survive here:
We know scrapbookers are always ready to help someone in need. And, we know our customers are the best ever. So, why not help Lori? Just place any size order -- even just something from our $1 store -- and then you can add as many of these packs of paper for just $2.50 per pack to your order. We will donate 100% of the sales from these paper packs to the Livin' It Up for Lori benefit in Savannah on 7/29. (We need the initial order thru the site to provide all billing & shipping info, and well as to help us cover shipping costs.) If your order totals $25 or more (before shipping & after any discounts), we will give you one of these paper packs for FREE and still donate the $2.50 to Lori.
Seriously, 25 sheets of paper for just a dime each. That's a great deal on any day. Knowing that you're also helping someone in need with your purchase of such a great deal...does it get any better than that?
Head to our Weekly Specials link on our site, www.acidfree.com. Just click on Shop Now then Weekly Specials. You can see how to complete your order there.
Yes, if you have coupon codes, you may use them on your order, too.
Yes, you can order one item for a dollar, and add as many paper packs as you wish.
Please let us know if you have any other questions!
Thanks in advance for your help!

Fabulous Friday!

Just saying 'It's Friday' can lift your spirits! (even if you have to work all weekend, like me) Fridays are meant for fun. And, they are soooo fun with our Fabulous Friday giveaways each week!

This Friday is fun, too, because it gives you the rest of today (til midnight EST tonight) to order anything & everything you want from our site AND earn 1/2 that amount in FREE products, coming out in early July! (email us at kellerscreations@acidfree.com if you don't get our emails & we can answer any questions you have about this offer)

This Friday is also fun because we have just celebrated our 8th year in business! Not easy, by any means. But, we're still here. Ready to battle it out, I mean enjoy another year. Thank you for helping us make it this far, especially with as difficult as the last 2 years have been. Thank you for becoming more than customers...many of you are now dear friends. Thank you for your prayers for me & Keller, as well as so many words of encouragement. Seriously, thank you.

Oh, back to our FABULOUS FRIDAY giveaway this week....

Here's what we want to know:

With Father's Day this weekend, what does it mean to you?

For me, it's always been my least favorite 'holiday' of sorts. I didn't know my father growing up...but finally met him when I was 37. I was lucky enough to develop a relationship with him, full of forgiveness & honesty. It was such a blessing & the bravest thing I've ever done...finding him, making that first phone call, and driving across country in a '93 Camry to make it all possible! Keller was with me, every step of the way. And, when my dad suddenly passed away 2 years ago, it made those few days we spent together & the following phone calls & emails even more treasured. So, to my dad, Happy Father's Day.

Also, for the 14 years I've had Keller, his father came & went the first couple years...so he really has no memory of him. His life consists of just us two. So, for both of us, father's day has always been a little strange. One day, I hope he wants to make the same journey I did...to find his father & see the truth, no matter what that may be.

Then, last night, I got a sweet message from a dear customer, now friend...it said "Happy Mather's Day"....explaining it was for all us moms who fill both rolls, mother and father. I loved the message & love the meaning. Thank you, Liz, for that. Much needed and much appreciated.

So, enough from my end...what does Father's Day mean to you? now? growing up? difficult like it has been for us? or amazingly special? Good or bad, we want to hear! Just post your comments here or email them to us....that's all you have to do to be entered this week. Oh, but what's up for grabs this week?? One lucky winner will receive a 3pk Assortment of our Accordion Photo Boards, one each 4x6, 5x7, and 6x8. If you haven't tried these yet, you really should. They make the easiest gifts...look great...and use up all your extra scrappin' pieces left over from other projects & pages.

Good luck! And, Happy Friday!

Kim

Fabulous Friday - and winners!

The winners of the 2 Birthday Banners are...Joyce and The Swires. Please email us with your shipping info- http://www.kellerscreations.com/. Congratulations!

Here in the South, Summer is in full swing! 95 degree + days...great weather for lots of outdoor activities! And you have to take lots of photos of the summer fun.

So, our question(s) this week:
Do you take your camera with you everywhere? What type of camera-DSLR or point-and-shoot? How many photos do you take a day? A week?

I'll be honest, I don't take as many photos as I should-or take my camera with me as much as I should. It's a DSLR and sometimes it just feels like too much to carry, even though I LOVE the quality of the photos!

This week we're giving away 2 prizes again...2 of these adorable All My Memories Vituri camera purses-1 black and 1 red. Great for carrying your camera on the go!

Just answer the questions above here on the blog and you'll be entered to win. Winners will be announced Sunday night, June 13.

Have a great weekend!

Tracy
