It's Friday...and Fabulous...

because it's time for another Fabulous Friday Giveaway!!

You know Sunday is Valentine's Day, right? How could you NOT know that, with every commercial on tv & radio and the zillions of junk emails reminding you to buy flowers & chocolate & to go out to dinner?!

Isn't it supposed to be about love? Pure & simple, love.

I haven't been a huge fan of Valentine's over the last several years (can you tell I'm divorced?)...but I do have fun seeing it thru Keller's eyes. He used to have so much fun making cards & treats to share at school...now, at 14, it's all about the dance. And, tonight is the big night for him...Valentine's Dance as an 8th grader at the middle school. (he keeps telling me that everything this year is more important b/c his class is the oldest in the school!) At first I was excited that a girl asked him to the dance. Then, it sunk in. He has a date. YIKES! Keller on a date....too much to comprehend. I'll be sure to let you all know how it goes tonight....

But, back to LOVE and our giveaway. I know that we all show love to our children & those around us everyday. Maybe not as much as we should, but we do.

But, how do those around us show us that they do indeed love us?

To be entered in today's drawing, leave a comment here (please try...but you can email us if you have to) telling us about your most special memory of someone showing you they loved you. Maybe it was something they said....maybe a gift they gave you...maybe something they did for you. Tell us. Maybe it will give us all new ideas of how to show our special ones how much we love them.

Oh, want to know what you could win??

(11" jumbo heart books, shown here in our Family Kit)

This week 3 lucky winners will receive one of our Jumbo Heart Books! Yep, 3 people this week. Why? Because I love you, of course.

Happy Friday...and Happy Valentine's Day!

Kim

ps...check back late Sunday for the posting of winners.

My 3 yr old son will climb up on my lap and give me the most gentle kiss on the cheek...then giggle. I have 3 boys and he's the youngest and I know it won't last much longer so I'm LOVING it while it lasts.

My husband shows me he loves me by his actions - not so much by words or flowers, etc, but he is steady as a rock when it comes to being there by my side...in the mornings before he leaves for work he always takes the dog out and feeds him and plays with him, and then just before he leaves for work, he'll go out and bring in the newspaper and bring it in to me(I'm still in bed!) and he'll gently lay in on my bed and say, "Here's today's paper for you." He knows how much I love doing the crossword puzzle each morning. He's a gem and I love him!

My 13 year old son asked me to buy him some paper so he could make Valentine cards. I like that he wants to make cards instead of taking the easy way out and buying them. He also asked if I had any samples he could look at in magazines or books so that his cards would look better!

Last year my husband made me a Valentine's card with my stamps. He used heart & word stamps and even made a very creative border from a cluster of small hearts stamp. I was so impressed that he spent the time to make my card for Valentine's Day.

I have very many memorable Valentines. I have the best husband in the world. He is always so thoughtful and always manages to suprise me. I don't know how he comes up with his ideas, but I am always surprised.

I hope you have a great Valentine's Day, even if you are divorced, I'm sure someone as sweet as you has a special Valentine love close to you. I hope you have a great birthday also.

My husband shows his love by looking and commenting on my latest scrapbooking creations because he knows its important to me even if its not his top priority.

I've been married for 29 years and have been retired for the last ten years. When I was working, one year on Valentine's day, my husband had a barbershop quartet come into my office and sing Earth Angel to me in front of all my co-workers. It was sort of embarassing, but mostly very sweet. Much better than receiving flowers or candy.

Forgot to add that I really hope that Keller has a great time at his dance tonight. I only have one son, and I, too, enjoyed watching life through his eyes. First date--big moment!!!

My husband was born on Valentines Day, so he didn't do anything special because that was his day. I am a widow now and the day has a very special meaning for me.
Even though I didn't get a gift on those days he was always surprising me on special occasions. One in particular was my 50th birthday. He sent me 50 long stemmed red roses while I was at work. I was totally suprised. I was the talk of the day.

My hubby and I were at dinner with my best friend, her husband and her daughter, Emma. Emma counted everyone at the table and said, in the most sincere way, "There are five people in our family!" Every time I think of that I get a little teary! Happy Valentines Day!

When I was in high school, I got a single red rose from a secret admirer. I thought it was one of my close friends trying to make me feel special because I had a recent breakup. Later that night I got on yahoo messenger (the big think then) and a guy from the other school in the county that I'd been chatting had left me an offline message. It said something like I couldn't wait until after my basketball game or until we talked next to ask you if you liked your surprise today? Just so happened as I read that and smiled from ear to ear he got online. We talked all night and had a wonderful date the next night. Love to all of you!

My husband is very supportive of my paper crafting. He always brags me up and gives me so much confidence. I also knows he loves me just by when he holds my hand.

I know it's too late to win...my bad, but I wanted to share my favorite LOVE gift. It is from my 17 year old son. He got me a silve ring with "Olive Juice" engraved on the inside. When you mouth olive juice, it looks like your saying I love you. It's our special thing and I am just som impressed that he thought of it and carried it out.
Jarim...olive juice.
