August...what a blur!

With 6 shows in the 5 weeks of August...and Keller's 13th birthday...and so much more, the month seemed to both fly by and to last forever.

On the first day of the month, we had to say good-bye to a member of our family. After 9 years of love & fun...then 8 months of fighting cancer, Keller & I had to make the hardest decision imaginable. For those of you who've made the decision to end the suffering of a pet, our hearts break for you, too.

Maggie, you are missed so.

Then, we hit the road...

We had a blast traveling to new shows...and back to some of our favorites, too! My brother, David, joined us in Charlotte & Tulsa...he's so funny...the ladies couldn't get enough of him! (hopefully his make & take project taught them a little, too)

We loved the TULSA show...where the line never seemed to end! Thanks, ladies, for being so patient, fun, & encouraging of our products. Thanks, too, to all of the ladies -- and 2 men -- who took classes from us in Valley Forge, Charlotte, Santa Clara, Tulsa, Chicago, and San Diego. I hope you enjoyed class as much as we did!

Thanks, too, to my great staff for traveling all over this country with me. David & Lori set new record numbers of make & takes in a day! Kathy, Deb, David, Mason, Tracy, Lori, Kristy, Jillian, and Carol ---THANKS for carrying me thru the month!! And, Deb, I'm so sorry the booth fell on you....I promise, that's not our usual way of welcoming new employees! And, Catherine, I can't thank you enough for your endless efforts on the homefront while we're gone.

And, to all of our customers, I can't thank you enough for letting me continue along this amazing journey. The overwhelming support & praise & sheer delight in our products & our classes are priceless gifts to each of us who work so hard to make it happen.

While on the road, tropical storm Fay decided to make an unwelcomed visit to our hometown of Thomasville, Ga. This is what 17 inches of rain in one day did to our town...

So long, August.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your Maggie.:( That is just never easy.

I didn't get to go to the convention here in Tulsa this year, my husband was out of town. But I'm so glad you liked it here & did well for yourselves!

My friends & I (from Dallas) get together in Arlington once a year & once a year here in Tulsa to scrap. We love those sketches! Keep them coming!!!!
