More Ideas...

Here are some more project ideas...

First, a simple page:

I used:

cardstock Rings in Smooth Orange--my daughter plays for the Orioles, so the Ring was perfect for the title!

Lower Playtime clear stamps

Sports Slide Spots

a 3-in smooth, white cardstock circle-just add the details to turn it into a softball

Another simple page using the Classic Tags from the Frog Prince Collection (blue) by Piggy Tales.

I also used:

Spring Breeze cardstock Rings

"Friends" Ring Quotes

stamp from XL "Together & more" set
staple ribbon to each tag

This "pocket tag" was so fun to make!
Start with an ACCORDION TAG from the Yellow Flowers & Dots collection by Paper Loft. Yes, an Accordion Tag!

Cut it in half so that you have 2 sets of 2 connected tags.

Fold tag over and cut half off of top tag to make "pocket". Adhere on edges.
Cut an extra strip of patterned paper. Flatten a piece of raffia. Then fold raffia in a pleat and adhere behind print strip. Adhere to card. Adhere a button and add raffia to hole in tag.
Add a gift card and personal note-a quick, simple gift for a teacher, mom, or anyone else!

Here's a quick, simple page using the prints in the Daisies & Dots collection from Paper Loft:
11-inch heart
print Rings
scalloped Stacker
XL Father Slide Spot

I stamped the "together" stamp from our "Family & more" clear stamp set inside one of the Rings. Simply curve the stamp on your block and stamp several times.

I just love the Whoop De Doo collection by GCD Studios! The papers are great, and the name is fun to say!

Ice Cream page:
Classic Scrolls and 3x12 strip of paper both from the collection

Chipboard ice cream cone set-I painted the scoops and the cone, then stamped the cone with our XL Plaid background stamp.

Buttercream Rings
"Friends" Ring Quotes
A card from the same collection:
Scalloped Stacker from the Round Stacker set-score and fold to write sentiment underneath (as shown below).

Large Round Buttercream Stacker

Buttercream Rings

"Friends" Ring Quotes

Add some buttons and ribbons.

And the perfect envelope...our 6x6 envelopes & liners!

How about a great gift for new parents or grandparents! Here's what I used:

6x6 Chipboard Baby book (These come with 14 pages-great for our ABC Tag or Strip Kits.)

We simply painted the book with acrylic paint and added ribbon and a QuicKutz splat.

Boy Wall Hanging:

Classic Cirle Chipboard Book

Large round Stackers in Burning Ember

cardstock Rings in Cool Cantaloupe

Scalloped Stackers-Circles & Vines collection by Paper Loft

4-in chipboard letters

Playtime Uppercase clear stamps

I painted the edges of the chipboard circles with brown acrylic paint. I then layered the Stacker pieces, letters, Rings, and photos. Stamp the title and layer with a cardstock Ring. Use a Ring as the guide to crop your photo.

Punch a second hole in each circle and tie together.

I hope these ideas inspire you! Happy National Scrapbook Day!

Ready for more ideas?!

With all these ideas this week, I really hope everyone is grasping just how versatile our products are. They really are ones that you can create pages with, THEN add photos...all WITHOUT taking the emphasis off the photos themselves. Utilize the sketches that we post on our blog. Make the pages with our precut pieces. Then add pictures. You will be amazed how much you can accomplish!

Here's an example of what I'm talking about. Versatility at its best.

I did a page with these pieces:

1 Connector liner

1 large Stacker circle cut in 1/2

ribbon

That's it. Easy enough, huh?

Oh, I did stamp on the corners of the page with our scroll stamps. I used the 'mirror image' scrolls from our Whimsical Scroll set...love how these stamps work together...put on one block and stamped all 4 corners of a plain white 12x12 piece of cardstock. Makes a huge difference.

Then, I started trying to decide which pictures I would use. I started with 2 vertical 4x6 photos, in black & white.

Then, I tried 1 vertical color 4x6.

Then, I rotated the page, and added a vertical color 4x6.

Then, I left the page rotated & added 2 horizontal 4x6 photos.

All 4 ways look good. See -- versatility.

(papers on this layout from both Rose Colored Glasses sets, light and dark)

Ok, here's another thing I like to do...tilt pictures so you don't have to worry about if things are straight. And, I cut one of our XL square slide mounts into photo corners...and stamped them with our dog background stamp. Love doing this, too.

I matted these photos, which is rare for me these days...but like it here.

Then, just added one scalloped Stacker circle (from Dog collection by Reminisce, on our site, of course!) and a scrap of cardstock to put the sticker title on.

5minute page. Works for me.

Oh, I also love working with our jumbo 11" Circles, and not just in our jumbo chipboard books.

On this page, I cut the circle slightly off center...then shaved off about 1/2 inch of each piece...so there would be room in between them when adhered to the page.

I switched sides with them...gives the page a whole different look.

And, see how easily you can add photos. The 4x6 on the right fits perfectly. For the one on the left, adhere it to the circle first...then trim off outside edges to curve it. No guesswork that way, works every time.

(paper group on this page is Playground - Blues & Greens)

So, let us know what you think...and we'll keep the ideas coming over the next couple days. You know, you really CAN do a Project a Day in May!

More ideas....

Are you on the bandwagon yet?? Motivated & ready to try a Project a Day in May?!?

Here are more ideas, to hopefully get your creative juices flowing:

6x6 Wedding Page Idea -

6x6 black cardstock

strips of pink cardstock...stamp word stamp as border on one, title stamp on other & tear edges
(word stamp from our Family & More Set, title stamp from XL Together & More set)

fun dotted ribbon

white bottle shaker & beads

Have you tried our shakers yet?? Easy...and shakers are 'flat' enough on page to NOT make your book all bulky. Be sure to use our Red Line Tape as adhesive to keep your beads, glitter, etc. inside the shaker.

Gotta lot of pictures needing to go on one layout? Accordion Tags are the answer!

This page -

12x12 cardstock...any light green or tan will do...even white will look good on this one

2 Accordion Tags (Evening Sun is color)

1 large Stacker circle cut in half

1 large Stacker circle

1 scalloped Stacker circle

snips of ribbon to tie tags together

*all Stacker pieces in this layout are from our Frog Prince (greens) Collection in Mix & Match section online.

Winter layout -

12x12 light blue cardstock (Waterfall used here)

2 large Stacker circles (Distressed Christmas Collection)

2 scalloped Stacker circles (same)

4 small Stacker circles (white)

ribbon

button

Gotta love quick & easy!

Another easy layout -

12x12 black cardstock (Midnight used here)

3 large Stacker circles

2 circles from 3" circle pack

1 flower

Rings

button

*all pieces shown here are Red & Black Playground Collection

Ok, getting the hang of how EASY things can be when you have fun print pieces in your hands, already cut & ready to go? And, they never look the same...move 'em around, pair them up differently, add some, take some away...so fun & cute to see all the ways to use pieces like our Stackers & Rings...and NO CIRCLE CUTTER NEEDED!

And the winner is....

Laurie! Laurie, thanks so much for your input this weekend. You have won FREE SHIPPING throughout the rest of 2010!! Please email us (kellerscreations@acidfree.com) your name, phone number, and address you'll use as the shipping address on all orders. Then, we will send you your customized code.

Thank you, too, to the others of you who posted comments here or emailed us. But, somehow, I think there are more than a dozen people or so who don't know what to do with their negatives. We have all gone digital now...and our children will only see film in history books or museums...but just a few short years ago, we all used film. That led to negatives. I know I have boxes & boxes of them! And, each and every one is important to me. I want a simple solution to them. I think many of you feel the same way, too.

So, rest assured that Keller's Creations is on it. We are close to offering everyone an easy, affordable solution to your negatives....stay tuned!

And, check back later today, as we will be posting more projects for A Project a Day in May!

A Project a Day in May...more ideas:

Let's start with a super-easy tag book:

Have you tried one of these yet?? Our new Classic Tag shape is simple....for a reason. I designed this die simply because of its size...it's PERFECT for 4x6 photos! Take a 4x6 vertical photo & adhere it to a page in our Classic Tag Chipboard Book. Trim top corners off. THAT'S IT. Who knew?!?

And, you can do the same with scraps of paper. Or, if you want to make life even easier, order any of our 36 solid colors or any of the Mix & Match prints in our Classic Tag option...and your papers will be cut perfectly for you.

On this project, Tracy used our Loverly papers from GCD Studios in the Classic Tag shape...added photos...RINGS & an XL Slide Mount & our XL Slide Spots (Father theme), along with the heart (from our Chipboard Embellishing Shapes pack) to put together the perfect Father's Day gift.

Wouldn't these make great Mother's Day gifts, too? or Graduation? Maybe use a glue dot to add a gift card on a page. What about brag books for new baby pictures? Perfect size to fit in a purse for new grandma's to carry with them. Ok, the list could really go on...Classic Tag Book. Make just one and you'll be hooked.

Here's another project...easy as can be PARTY BANNER:

We used:

Mini Connectors & Liners

Alphabet Letters from our Cardstock Creations

Stars from our Chipboard Embellishing Shape packs

3" white circles (also available in Cardstock Creations)

Ribbon

Any questions?? Remember, we have all these items precut for you. Or get the base pieces from us & utilize your stash for the rest...or somewhere in between. Just make something. It's worth every ounce of creative energy for the feeling of accomplishment...or if you're like me, the creative time itself is your reward. The finished product? Just icing on the cake.

And, another idea...once you're done with a banner like this for a specific event, why not add it to your layout for that event?? Double duty projects. Gotta love that.

Just think how cute these mini banners could be hanging on the door of your child's room with his/her name on it. Or for a special day for someone with 'CONGRATS' on it...or 'WE LOVE YOU'...or 'YOU CAN DO IT'...oh, here I go again. So many possibilities. Think of the smiles you'll receive from friends & family if you celebrate them & their lives with a little hand-made surprise like this.

Ready for more? Got school age kids??

Why not paint one of our 6x6 Apple Chipboard books & make some simple pages for the kids to fill in...and make a teacher's year?!

Our Classic Scroll shape fits perfectly on 6x6 pages, too....as do all our Classic Shapes. With everything precut for you, you could easily finish this in a night.

This idea isn't just for teachers. With all the FUN SHAPES of our 6x6 Books, you can make them for:

Baby Showers

Wedding Showers

Zoo Trips

Gratitude Journals

Holiday mini albums

Yet another list that could go on & on. What are your ideas? We'd love to see your creations with our Keller's Creations!

Hope you're on your way to being ready to make A PROJECT A DAY IN MAY. Stay tuned for more ideas coming your way.

It's Friday...time for a giveaway!

Hooray, it's Friday!!

Ok, got some serious questions for you this week....really, REALLY want some feedback. Please take the time to comment here or email your answers to kellerscreations@acidfree.com. Sharing here is our first choice, so we can all share in each other's ideas...but either way, please let us know what you think.

Today's questions come from a personal situation that might have a professional solution. Hmmm...what is she talking about now, you're thinking to yourself.

Negatives. That's what I'm struggling with. What to do with my negatives. Piles and piles....

So, here's what I want to know:

1. Do you have negatives you'd like to have a solution to? Say, a digital backup?

2. Are they all 35mm or do you have various sizes?

3. Do you have a local place that offers negative scanning?

4. Have you already found a solution? What did you do?

Ok, easy enough, right? Can't wait to see what you all have to say.

Remember, too, that by simply answering these 4 questions, you'll be entered into a drawing. For what? This week 1 lucky winner will receive a personalized coupon code to use throughout 2010 for FREE SHIPPING on anything & everything ordered from us this year! You can order 1 little thing whenever you need it and not have to worry about shipping costs....you can order a pile of heavy chipboard, knowing we are covering the cost to get it to you....FREE SHIPPING for 2010. Fun, huh?

That's it. Good luck...and Happy Friday!

Fabulous Friday Giveaway

Wow, what a week! The pollen in the air here in the South has been so thick that you could see it...it looked like fog! But finally, some relief...it rained last night. Hopefully that took care of some of the yellow stuff!

For our Fabulous Friday, we have another little survey for you. We really do appreciate all of your input and consider that as we come out with new products. Today, we want to know a little about your scrapping style.

Just copy and paste the 5 following questions and EMAIL them to us at kellerscreations@acidfree.com.

1. What theme do you scrap most?

2. What size page do you scrap in most of your albums?

3. Do you make smaller, themed books? If so, what size, shape, etc.?

4. How often do you scrap?

5. Do you scrap alone or with friends?

Now, what do you get for sharing with us? Everyone who emails us their answers will receive a coupon code for FREE SHIPPING on any size order on our website!

And one lucky winner will receive our new "Good Stuff" wall hanging that is currently shipping to our Class Club members...it's not even available for sale on our website yet! This is an adorable double-sided project that looks cute as a wall hanging or hanging from a hook in the ceiling.

Have a great weekend and thanks for answering these questions! Our customers are the best!

Good Friday...

Today is Good Friday. And, every Friday we do a Fabulous Friday Giveaway...and we give away something to 1, maybe 2, sometimes 3 lucky winners. But, today is Good Friday. It's the day that we Christians celebrate the ultimate gift that was given to us, Jesus. It's the day he died for us.

Keller made this for me in preschool...and I still treasure it. It shows what today is all about. God's grace. Thru Lent and especially on Good Friday, we remember what God has given us.

And, we all know the miracle of Easter, and that is what we look forward to after Good Friday each year. Easter memories for me are of church...dying eggs....indulging in what we gave up during Lent (this year, it's chocolate for me and sugared-sodas for Keller)...family...trips to the beach...the beginning of Masters in Augusta....oh, so many different memories.

What is your favorite part of Easter? What do you have planned this year? That's what we want to know this week for our Fabulous Friday Giveaway. Leave a comment here or email us...that's all you have to do. Easy enough.

Oh, but what might you win?? We will draw 1 lucky winner to win one of our Jumbo 11" Egg Chipboard Books...shown here painted & decorated:

Cute, huh? But, it's Good Friday. So, we must do something more than usual, right? So, for everyone who reads our blog, you can get this book for FREE...you just have to order something online this weekend from Keller's online store. Every order this weekend that says "Easter Surprise" in the 'special instructions' section at checkout will get one of these 11" Egg books for free! (you'll have to decorate it yourself, though...k?)

Tell us your Easter memories and/or plans & you might win one. Order and we will give you one. Got it? (and don't forget our crazy sale ends tonight at midnight...so you might want to shop today...sale is found in Weekly Specials link in our online store...but our free book offer goes thru Sunday at midnight)

Happy Friday. Thank you, God, for Good Friday.

Happy Easter & Happy Spring to all our great customers!

Kim
